PROJECT OVERVIEW
Supporting the development and approval processes for 12 units of affordable family and seniors housing. This project involves the construction of the Georgia View Road extension, which is required under a registered covenant before development of the affordable housing site can proceed.
PROJECT SUCCESS
- • CMHC Seed Funding, Green Municipal Fund Planning Grant, CRD Funding, Rural Economic Diversification and Infrastructure Program, and Vancity Grant
• Navigating complex approvals process with the Islands Trust and successfully rezoning the property
• Unique collaboration between variety of Southern Gulf Islands projects facilitated by Wiser Projects to fund cost, time, and advocacy efficiencies
• Accessed Community Housing Transformation Centre – Sector Transformation Fund dollars for this collaboration - Collaboration with the Galiano Affordable Living Initiative Society (GALI)
