PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Cowichan Lake Elder Care Society (CLECS) was formed in 2016 in response to a report conducted by the Town that revealed a need for housing for the elderly. During this time, the Town donated two vacant lots to the Society, leading them to begin their mission in housing development. Wiser is supporting CLECS in their development of Lakewood Manor, a 30-unit affordable seniors housing project. This project will help seniors comfortably age in place and keep them close to their community close to services and amenities.

  • BCH Pre Development Funding
  • Lot consolidation complete and Rezoning and Development Permit obtained
  • Submission to BC Housing Community Housing Fund
