PROJECT OVERVIEW
• This project consisted of two scopes of work: 1) Developing a housing incentive program, and 2) identifying strategies to increase the development of accessory dwelling units.
• Consisting of a range of policy changes, process improvements and financial incentives to reduce barriers to a healthy supply of housing in the District of TofinoDevelopingof multiple policy tools (i.e., strategies) that may encompass any of the following categories:
o Regulatory (e.g., development cost charges)
o Incentive-based policy (e.g., community amenity contribution waivers), and
o Education/communication-based strategies (e.g., standing forums with housing developers)
