PROJECT OVERVIEW

• BC Housing Community Housing Fund awarded
• Two-phase development including 130-unit new replacement building for an existing aging facility, with up to 150 units in the second phase on the footprint of the existing facility
• One-bedroom units for seniors and persons living with disabilities
• The project team is advancing the building design and site plan towards Building Permit-level drawings

PROJECT UPDATES [2025]

• City permits have been approved to build 130 units for seniors to live independently adjacent to downtown Duncan in close proximity to services and amenities.
• The project team is securing final funding approvals and partnership agreements to progress to the construction phase.

PROJECT SUCCESS

• Land partnership with Anglican Diocese of Vancouver Island for a new site
• Over 50M in funding accessed
• Grant funding received from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities to help support the construction of a highly energy-efficient building
• Rezoning completed and Development Permit obtained
• Construction set to begin Fall 2025
