ACHE Wellness House
Aboriginal Coalition to End Homelessness
PROJECT LOCATION
Victoria, BC.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
The ACEH is working with BC Housing to design and develop the Wellness House at 938 Mason Street, Victoria. This new facility will include 30-35 studio and two-bedroom family size units, along with wrap around social, health, culturally appropriate and land-based healing support services, and activities for the Indigenous Street Family on their path towards healing and recovery from substance misuse. This unique and first-of-its kind project in the country addresses an immediate and critical gap in transitional housing care and will result in improved housing, health, and social integration outcomes for the Indigenous Street Family, one of the most vulnerable and marginalized groups in the region.
